*UPDATE 6/14/2008*
Reported missing. Will replace if possible summer 2008.

Coming east bound on I-80 take exit 170 to the Echo Canyon rest area (this side accessible only eastbound). After you park head towards the restrooms. You will see a paved trail to the right (past the pay phone & drinking fountain) which goes up the hill. Head up the trail. If you start counting the paved sections from the start of the trail (where wall ends - 1st section is largest) go to the 38th cement square where the trail starts to curve. Look to your right and you should see a large bush. Under the uphill side of the bush (a few steps off the path) there is a small pile of sticks and rocks. Under the largest rock is the box you are looking for.

This can be a busy area please be careful when retrieving and re-hiding this box.

If you have time continue up the trail to the overlook area where you will have a nice view of Echo Canyon. Through this canyon passed the California Trail, Morman Trail, and Pony Express routes. More info on the trails and the emigrants who passed through here is located in the picnic pavillion below.

Easily accessible location - drive-by with short uphill walk on trail.
The box includes a hand-made stamp and journal. No inkpad provided, please bring your own.

We would appreciate updates on the box from any finders. Thanks.
