Full name: The all-powerful warrior who, because of his endurance and inflexible will to win, goes from conquest to conquest, leaving fire in his wake.

Take the Valley Rim Trail west of the Pinnacle toward Pulpit Rock. Along the way to this box, you will pass the following landmarks: a river of rocks, a sawed V stump on the right, a tree in the trail with initials WIA, and an eroded gully to the left that is actually a trail. Stay on the Valley Rim Trail, which heads to the left near the rim and then takes a sharp turn right up two steps formed by roots. From the top of the staircase, it’s four paces to a V, seven paces to another V, and eleven paces to yet another V. Look right to a fallen tree. The box is on the other side under a SPOR. This spot is very close to the trail, so you can help prolong the life of this box for the potential enjoyment of others by walking down the trail a bit to stamp in. (One of many nice breaks in the trees is a few hundred yards to the west on the trail.) Distances are approximate.

You’ll need black and brown ink (different shades are good if you have them), and you may want red, yellow, and navy as well. Please reseal and rehide carefully.

Wear blaze orange. If you go during hunting season, go on Sunday.
