Water the Eagle LbNA # 3602
|Placed Date||Apr 19 2003|
*Replaced as of 12 April 2007. Enjoy!
Placed by A-Bear
Level of Difficulty: Easy. Bring binoculars and watch the raptors soar high above from this location!!
Directions: From I-84 take exit 44 south on route 69 for about 8 miles. Turn left onto Swan Falls Road and follow that road for about 20 miles. About a mile down the steep hill to the dam you will find a dirt road at the hair pin turn. Park there!
From the large and lonely boulder with a chair like appearance on the south side of the short dirt road head 250 degrees to the white boulder for 28 paces/56 steps. Another 10 paces/20 steps directly north across the rocks to the two rocks laying side by side. Behind these two on their south side eagerly awaits the thirsty eagle.
Continue on your way down to find the Swan Falls Dam and Boulder Graveyard Letterbox.
Please read the waiver of responsibility and watch out for snakes (not that I saw any, but all the rocks seem like a snake’s haven).
