~Well, my little girl turned 2 years old today. So, of course, we had to celebrate with a walk in the woods and a letterbox!!!

This image will show you Doodles favorite trail "toy".

Please bring ink as there is none provided.

Clues:

Make your way to Bartlett Brook Wildlife Management Area. It is located on Goshen Hill Road. There is a brand new wooden sign at the entrance. From Route 16 in Lebanon turn onto Goshen Hill Road. Travel down this about 7 tenths of a mile and turn right into the Bartlett Brook Wildlife Management Area. Go down the gravel drive to the parking area on the left. Park here.

*This is a hunting area so be careful during hunting season. That would mean either to wait until Sunday when there is no hunting allowed or wearing BLAZE ORANGE for everyone, including pups ;-)*

Walk down the "street", if you have done the Sunny Day series you will know what I am talking about. If you have not, then after parking, cross through the stone wall and turn left to walk on the wide dirt road.
You will walk this for a bit, passing many "characters".

You will come to a very wide, level, grassy road on the right. This appears to have been a former road that lead to a farm perhaps. Turn right here-it is also the same spot that you would turn to say hello to "Herry Monster".

Walk down this pretty spot and notice on your left, the remains of an old foundation. (THERE IS AN OPEN WELL IN THIS AREA, SO BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU DECIDE TO EXPLORE THE OLD FOUNDATION).

Keep walking and very soon you will come to a large, chest high boulder on your left. Stop here. Face the boulder and walk by it on the left side. Walk over the stone wall directly behind the boulder and stop. Turn right and go one step. Look low in the wall, just above ground/leaf height for the gray rock in between two whitish ones. Move the gray rock to find what Doodles loves to play with on the trail.

It is really interesting to explore this area.

Retrace your steps to the parking area or continue to other great boxes in the area.

I hope you enjoyed your walk.

Flutterby~
