UPDATE 06/01/2008 Boxes 1 & 2 Missing - SERIES RETIRED

From the area where the event (Oct 13, 2007) was held (park near the intersection of Edwards and Inlet), head east toward the lake. Take the path along the dog area to the right of the lake and stay on this path until it ends. Continue around the lake on the dirt area until you get to a playground area and the path resumes. The paths will be merging, forking, and intersecting; but basically you are heading to the far end (North) over by the Shipley Nature Center.

Box 1. From the first play area take path right, then merge left, then first right followed by another right, passing a second play area on your left. Keep right at the fork, and at the next fork you should be at the “HB loves Trees” rock and huge light post #9 (numbered on the back side). Go right at this fork, and as you begin, look straight ahead at a tree that has a fork in its trunk about 4 feet up (and another fork 8 feet up). The box is hidden at the lower fork under some wood pieces and leaves pine needles. Be discrete and re-hide well.

Box 2. Return to the engraved rock and go left past the entrance to the Shipley Nature Center, and take the first fork left and merge with a trail from your right, continue past the intersection, to the Professor Alan Senn bench. From sitting at the bench, you will see a tree in a bush across the path and to the left. The camoflaged box is hanging in the bush about 2.5 feet up directly in front of the tree (approach from front of bush). Be very discrete, and hide the box back where it belongs; and be sure not to damage the bush.

Continue on the path and take the right before the restraunt to finish the loop around the lake, or straight ahead to go back along the same side of the lake again.
