John James Audubon State Park is located on U.S.41 at the northern boundary of Henderson Kentucky. The park has 705acres and a 28 acre lake. The Kentucky Nature Preserve Commission manages 335acres of the park as a state nature preserve.5 1/2 miles of trails wind through the nature preserve with variations in diffculty and length.Perfect opportunity to observe over 20 species of warblers that settle at Audubon in the springtime.

Park at the Museum & Nature Center parking lot.

Walk towards the museum. As you approach the museum walk on the right side of the building towards the trails.Go behind the museum.Take the museum trail to the KC trail take the KC trail on your right.
Cross the wooden bridge.Go up the hill.

As you come to the third large tree on your right look to your left and behind you. At the V of the logs on the ground you will find a Sweet Blue Bird waiting for you.
