Park in the visitors parking at the intersection of Bannockburn Ct. and Laurel Lake Sq. in Fairfax, VA. There is a stone wall in front of the parking area. Stand in front of and facing the highest point of the stone wall - Turn 180° Take the black top path in front of you past the pool.
When you reach the pond take a moment to enjoy the small waterfall and look for Koi fish as you walk clockwise around the pond. When you reach a T at the top of the pond turn left and head south on the path - Cross over 4 lanes
After crossing the lanes sit on the benches overlooking pond #2 and feed the Koi fish. Continue counter clockwise around this pond until you reach lamp post #55 then head down the hill on the snaky path into the woods.
Keep walking past the “park closed at dark” sign. At the first paved right on the path take a right and hop over the short concrete posts to cross where the water flows (when there’s been rain).
Starting at the last concrete post take the same number of paces down the trail as there were concrete posts that you just walked over. You will reach a large tree on your right. At this point follow the riverbed 38 paces down stream (NW). Cross the river on the large downed tree towards its previous source of nutrients.
Look inside of the stump and find a Koi Fish.
