For background on Charley Harper, please see the intro to the Charley Harper Series: Generation Gasp by Antimony. This cardinal was copied from one of his paintings.

Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park & Museum is located near Hamilton!!! Ohio. From Cincinnati, take I275 to Exit 33 (Colerain Ave – Rt. 27), Take Route 27 North to Hamilton/Ross exit. At the end of the ramp, take a right on Route 128. Follow 128 for approximately 6 miles. Pyramid Hill will be on your left. There is a $5 admission fee.

From Dayton: Take I75 South to the Hamilton exit, Route 129. Follow Route 129 into downtown Hamilton!!!. At the first traffic light past the railroad underpass, turn left. Follow the signs to State Route 128. After you cross the Columbia Bridge, turn left on to Pyramid Hill Blvd. Follow the signs to Pyramid Hill. The park will be on your right. There is a $5 admission fee.

Pyramid Hill is an amazing park with a large collection of outdoor sculpture (http://www.pyramidhill.org/). After looking at a map, find Oh Belisk near the wedge shaped parking lot.

Near Oh Belisk is a large blue button. This is also near a large wedge shaped parking lot near the lower lake (on the map).

Oh Belisk was designed by John Adduci, who has public art in many cities throughout the UC.

Standing by the Blue Button, walk at 60 degrees to a totem pole. After viewing this interesting art, head in a northerly direction to a big fallen tree that lines up with its stump (on the west side). A crack in the four foot tall stump is the home of Charley’s Cardinal and is covered with bark and an interesting piece of wood. Please cover well.
