After finding Lupin’s Lookout, go back to the bridge and follow the red/white trail for about 0.15miles. It looks like someone has cut the Whomping Willow down! And there to the left of the trail is a tree that looks like a large version of Harry’s “loyal, finally beaten broomstick.”
Across the trail, to the right, and before the broomstick, look between the cut logs and tree to find the Whomping Willow.
