Difficulty: Easy
Time: 15 minutes. Distance Drive up or short walk on flat land.
Please bring your stamp, a stamp pad, pen and an old rag to wipe off the box/your hands.
The "Safari Man- On The Highway/ and Interstate" series depicts things one might see as they drive the highways of the U.S. These are targeted mainly for rest stops but might pop up anywhere. This letterbox is titled OFF ROAD TRUCK . Happy traveling!
Traveling East on I-40 after passing the border between Tennessee and North Carolina be looking for the Rest Stop after you get out of the mountains at about the 12mm. Go to the far end of the car parking area and pass it, going to the road that goes down into the picnic area. Make a left at the gravel road that goes back around the little building and either drive or walk it all the way to the base of the steep hill. On the left of the road, at the base of the steep hill you will see a tree and behind it under a rock you will find a vehicle that could climb this hill.
I hope you enjoyed this respite from your weary drive and will give me feed back on the results of your find. Cordially, Glenn/Safari Man of Vincent, Ohio. And please reseal the baggies completely and rehide as found.
