These letterboxes can be found at Lake Elkhorn, off of Broken Land Parkway, in Columbia, MD. Take I-95 to Rte. 32 West. Take Broken Land Parkway North exit. Lake Elkhorn and main parking lot will be on your right.

“Well, my Sith Apprentice, we will soon be landing on a distant planet, Earth,” said Darth Sidious to Darth Maul. “I have felt a large disturbance in the Force. There is a young boy named Skywalker and the Force is strong within him. He is here with an inferior creature called a Gungan on a school trip. If we can get him now, they will just think he got lost, no one will suspect us.” “Yes, Master,” said Darth Maul.

“Come, let us get in one of these four-wheeled driving machines and park in the main parking lot of this lake,” said Darth Sidious. “Should we go to that gazebo?” asked Darth Maul. “I like the color of the roof and besides, everyone is staring at me.” “No, you fool, we are not going there, we will go to the right,” said Sidious. “Now, at this next Y, we will go to the left, and look over this dam, they may be over there.” Darth Maul followed to look over the dam, but did not find the targets. As he was walking back, however, he spotted them. “Look Master, across the lake, to the left of the fishing pier, right behind that skinny 4-trunked tree, I see them.” They hurried over to catch them.

“We were too slow,” said Sidious. “They are gone.” “No, Master,” said Darth Maul. “Look up the path to where it curves, there they are right by that vined tree that looks like it is from the Dagobah system. Let’s go.”

“Well, Darth Maul, they are not here. Nor are they behind this next broken tree leaning over the water. If you hadn’t stopped to stretch your legs, we would have had them,” said Sidious. “I will take this small path up into the woods and wait for you to finish your mission.”

“I can’t believe I walked right into this tree,” said Sidious, rubbing his left shoulder. “I will turn right into the woods further and find somewhere to wait. I like the look of those two trees next to each other, that skinny, double-trunk tree, and the other larger tree that branches into a V about five feet up. I think I will hide in between those trees until Darth Maul returns.”

“It’s always My fault,” said Darth Maul. “I wonder if anybody else’s boss is as bad as mine? He makes me so mad. I need to work off some of this rage to refocus my energy. How convenient that these exercise stations are here. I will do them all, then I will look for Skywalker.”

“Whew, finally finished. That was more tiring than I thought. I guess I’ll just walk along the path until I find them. Hey, what is that across the lake? It looks like concrete, but there is a large hole in the middle. I wonder if the Gungan went in there? Wait, I can sense the Force. The boy must be close. I will hide until he shows himself. Right across the path there is a large tree with a large rock behind it. Let me go back there. I will hide under these logs. I know I am close to finishing my mission. Darth Sidious will be so proud!”

Note from finder May 2010:
"if you continue on around the lake from Darth Maul the bridge is out at the moment. Should be back in place in June 2010. You can still make it around the lake but the detour adds quite a walk."
