This stamp was carved by Fluffy Angel soon after we started Letterboxing back in August of 2006. We had visited the "Patterson Covered Bridge" on a previous trip to Pensylvania in April of 2004.

This bridge has special meaning for our family and this was our first chance to make a return trip to the bridge to plant the first stamp Fluffy Angel ever carved. You might want to color the stamp in 2 shades of blue and red.

Fluffy Angel also wrote the clues you find below.

Stand at the end of the bridge facing an old barn and take a bearing of 360 degrees. Go under the bridge on this side, the upstream side, and seek your prize under somerocks up under the struts.

Please contact us if you find it or nrnot and if needs repair. Thanks for your help!

There is high water regularly under this bridge. We think we have the box placed high enough for most any flood conditions, but please replace the rocks carefully, to hold the box in place, just in case.

Enjoy this pretty covered bridge and please let us know if you have any difficulty finding it. We live far away in northern Virginia, so will greatly appreciate any first aid this box may require until we can get back to check on it.

Go to MapQuest and search for the intersection of Rohrsburg and Hartman Hollow Roads or search for 338 Rohrsburg Rd, Orangeville, PA. This address is across the street from the bridge. There is a convenient pull-over on Rohrsburg Rd.

If you search for "Patterson Covered Bridge" on-line and follow their directions, you may not get to the right place. There are many other beautiful covered bridges within 25 miles of this location. We hope you enjoy a day spent bridge-hopping as much as we did. We hope to plant a few more boxes at nearby bridges when we return next spring.
