Update: 7/10/1011 Due to the major overgrowth from last year and the addition of the major overgrowth this year, the prior location was rather difficult to find, let alone GET to, so the location has been changed!

Off of Buffalo Grove Road, south of Dundee Road, there is a park with the same name as an English university. A small park, nonetheless, but one which has had a lot of work done to it and the surrounding area over the years. The playground was redone since then. Even the sign seems better than in my memory. The tennis courts still remain, but many of the trees have long been removed. Years ago, during my brother's early baseball years, in tee-ball, I recall many happy adventures and explorations at the park and in the trees, particularly a copse of trees set back from the street slightly, but rather close to the parking lot. Now, the majority of the trees are merely along the border of the park, but a small portion of the trees in that long gone copse still remain.

Park in the parking lot. To the north east of the sign is a small grouping of trees. From this grouping of trees, one may see an old tree that is most likely a favorite of the local "monkeys" in the area past the tennis courts. Quite an excellent adventure to be had in the boughs of the tree, although I myself do not recall ever participating in it. But to the left of this fabulous climb is a hill that I've fond memories of, but from a different season than the one in which T-ball belongs. That hill has seen adventures of its own involving sleds and a great deal of snow, but this letterboxing adventure takes us only nearby it. In a hollow in a tree right by where a batter may swing for t-ball, or even an ump retrieve the supplies for t-ball, lies our treasure. If it decided to peak out of its hollow and gaze about itself, it would notice all that I used to notice: the t-ball field, the very prevalent tennis courts, and one of my favorite areas, the playground. Please hide under the natural debris so that it may stay safe and sound for all.
Suggested colors: brown, black, gray (or any other color for the tee), and red
