This box was meant to be hidden some where else, but due to hunting season we hid it here at black rock state park.
This is a strenuous hike up hill, but not very long. Maybe a little over an hour round trip.
I wouldn’t attempt this hike with snow or icy conditions! "Very steep in some places"
Pull in to the camping parking lot, and park here. Walk up the main camping road up to the rest rooms on your left,
At these intersections go left down to the end. Between lots 56 & 57 is a trail that goes down to a foot bridge, at
This bridge turn right {do not go over this bridge} there will be a smaller bridge you will go over {about six feet long}
Follow the trail up to a blue blaze trail; follow the blue blaze trail all the way up hill. At the top is a small flat area
With a small stream crossing the trail. Continue up the trail to a large rock with red paint on it on your left. On top of this rock
Is another rock about 4 to 5 feet in diameter. Under this rock is your prize. Rehide and continue up to the top to see a great view.
Happy hunting.
