The Colonial Parkway is a great drive this time of year with all the trees shedding colorful leaves. Go to the Yorktown Visitor Center at the Yorktown Battlefields. On the east side of the visitor center you will find 5 cannons in a line at the rear of the biggest cannon is a trail for you to follow to the water. At the water the trail splits left and right take the Left trail and near the end of this short trail to the left is the root stock of a fallen tree. In the left corner of the root stock hidden with sticks and leaves is the Cannon letter box.
To find the sun get in your car and drive down the Colonial Parkway 3.3 miles and you will see a pull off with a sign for the York River with a picture of a Cannon. Standing faceing the sign turn to your left and walk looking down and in the old tree stump on the ground you will find the sun not so big and round. This sun was made by our 5 year old.
Deathly Hollows was made by our daughter to find it continue down the parkway another 1.9 miles and on the left you will see a closed pull off with gates closed. Walk down the road and you will see an island of grass made by the road circling back. In the middle of this you will see a knarly looking tree. In the bottom is where it will be.
