Playa Santa Maria, it's my favorite beach of all time! I've spent my last two birthdays on this beach, snorkeling, swimming and laying on the beach. We've seen small rays here about the size of a dinner plate, so that is the inspiration for this box. You can reach this box via car or if your letterboxing gear is in a water proof bag, via a snorkeling tour. All the snorkeling tours from Cabo San Lucas come to this bay to let their clients snorkel.

From the beach looking toward the mouth of the bay, go to the North end of the beach where the beach meets the rocks. Look for a cement pillar with white top.

At 30 degrees up the hill is another cement marker DGZ-F
Put your Right foot along the side near the BNN-8
The Baja Bat ray is high and dry about 3 steps (not paces) from that marker at 79 degrees under a thorny bush and an arm of cactus.

Happy Snorkeling and Boxing
