This letterbox is the start of a series that will be placed around Spartanburg SC and surrounding areas by the girls in Girl Scout Troop 58 from Boiling Springs.
From Interstate 85 take exit 72. Take Hwy.56 South toward Heron Circle. (this is toward Spartanburg as well) Stay on Hwy.56 South through Heron Circle, go about 2 miles and Cleveland Park will be on your right, kind of across from the car dealerships. Make a right into the park.
Once in the park... park in the parking lot that goes between the train ticket building and the large event center. Go up the stairs that take you toward the event center. Once at the top of the stairs take the path to the left and go to the steps at the entrance to the event center. The box is back behind the steps, under the corner of first step.
Take $2.00 with you to ride the train that is sometimes running at the park. There is also lots of walking trails, picnic areas, and fountains around the outside of the park to enjoy.
If you need better directions to Cleveland Park, go to www.mapquest.com, click on directions, then type in your home address followed by Cleveland Park, Ashville Hwy, Spartanburg, SC.
