She Passed the Bar Series…
Box #1 The Books
Box #2 Blind Justice

My brilliant granddaughter passed the Colorado State Bar and is now a full time attorney. In honor of her dedication to her education, and her future exemplary work as an attorney, we have planted two boxes.

Box #1 ‘The Books’ - planted at University of California at Irvine..at Campus and Bridge.
From #405 turn south on Jamboree Road to turn left on Campus Drive. In about 1 ½ miles you come to the University Center shopping Center. Park as close to the foot bridge that crosses over to the university campus as possible. Go up the steps and across the bridge. Walk past the rose garden, up the steps and continue straight ahead to pass the Jack Lamgson Library and turn left, down the ramp, and cross the sidewalk to the grass. Walk down the grassy slope, and on the other side of the grass you will see a small hill with pine trees, large clumps of spiked aloe vera plants, and large flat boulders to sit on. Walk around this area on the right, and you will see that you can walk up into the trees and plants. Walk up to the top, to the largest pine tree. Across a small path you will see a boulder with grey paint markings on it. Go past the boulder 3 or 4 steps, into the plants, and on the right you will see a small ‘tunnel’ into the aloe vera plants with a small pile of rocks inside. That is where the letter box hides. It should be covered with pine needles. Be careful not to be seen. Log in and place everything back carefully.

Box #2 ‘Blind Justice’ - planted at the Orange County Court House at 4601 Jamboree Road in Newport Beach…
From the parking lot at University Center turn right onto Campus Blvd. and drive straight up Campus about 1 ½ miles to cross Jamboree Road (1 block). Turn left on Teller Street and turn left into the second driveway. This is the Court House parking lot. Park closer to the building, and look for the sign the says ‘Criminal Operations’ at the top of several other departments listed. There are double exit doors with 4601 over them. There is a 15 foot long boxed shrub beside the sidewalk and against the building. At the pointed end, on the right, and 6 to 10 inches down into the shrub, you will find the ‘Blind Justice’ letterbox nestled into the branches. It's in a brown plastic bag and is difficult to see. Wear long sleeves so you don't get scratches. Be careful not to be observed doing anything suspicious. What would all those policemen think? There are no benches around, so you may want to take the box back to your car to log in. Be certain the Blind Justice box is securely nestled back into her nest. As we planted this box, we noticed a surveillance camera that probably filmed our antics. Let’s hope they will leave our box alone. I have checked on it several times, and it was still there. If anyone asks you what you're doing just casually tell them you're looking for something. That's what I did, and it worked fine. Oh aren't we wiley and clever?
