3/26/17 I'm amazed the box is still here nearly 10 years later! Unfortunately, the stamp was missing when I checked on it today, so I am planting a new Easter stamp and a new box with new logbook. Thanks for coming!

Those who are native to the area, or have at least lived here for more than 30 years will remember Hink’s department store in the Shattuck Hotel in downtown Berkeley. This classy store was in business for about 70 years, until the 1980s. J.F. Hink donated the land for this little quarter-acre park to the city in 1921 in memory of his son Frederick. This is one of my 'rock collection' of Berkeley hills rock parks. The others are Great Stoneface and Contra Costa Rock Parks.

Clues:

The park is at the corner of Arlington and the street with part of my trail name. There is a long stone bench, some small benches and a little lawn. Facing the stone bench, there is a multiple-trunked tree to the right. “Nested” in the trunks is another nest in a box.

Thanks for visiting this quiet little place and let me know when you have found the box!
