This letterbox is close to Mote Marine Aquarium.
Turn onto Ken Thompson Parkway, just south of New Pass bridge, and pass the main entrance to parking lot of Mote Marine Aquarium on your right. Continue on past Mote's Marine Mammal Center (home of manatees, dolphins and sea turtles) on your left. Keep going and turn right into the parking lot of a playground with swings. Park close to the swing area.
Turn right and follow the path past the playground and swings. Continue until you find a swinging bench. Sit on the bench looking in a 1 PM direction across a small pond towards the Ken Thompson Park Preserve. You will spot 3 Sabal palm trees across the pond. Look for a path which will lead you to these palm trees.
Once you have reached the palm trees, two of them frame the Mote Marine Mammal Center in the distance. In between these two trees is a sea grape bush. Here, at the base of the bush, you will find our letterbox!
Be sure to continue along the path to enjoy a great view of the bay. You may even see fiddler crabs scurrying in the sand below the boardwalk. You will eventually end up at the parking lot where you started.
