Van, TX started as little community that hit the big time with Oil. It has a historical museum documenting it’s rich oil history from a small community to almost overnight a boomtown. Stop by and visit the museum and while you are there be sure to find “It’s Drilling Time!”
Directions to box:
Exit I-20 at HWY 314 and head north. Turn left on Main St aka HWY 16. Turn RT on to VZ 1501. There will be a brown sign for Van Historical Museum. Turn into the driveway and park. Locate the old miner’s cabin with the ramp and stand in front of the ramp facing the cabin. The letterbox in located under the ramp on the right side. Please re-seal and re-hide well.
Just a little farther down VZ 1501 is another box that I think you will enjoy also called “GOTTA GO?”
