Canyon Ranch is a luxury health resort nestled in our own backyard of Tucson. Its mission is to inspire people to make a commitment to healthy living, turning hopes and intentions into the highest enjoyment of life. Of course all of this comes at a price and with a good deal of security. Therefore this letter box will grant you a short hike (about 5 minutes)for free.

To locate the box, take Sabino Canyon Rd. to Snyder Rd. and park at the Circle K. Cross the street to the Canyon Ranch sign on the opposite corner. From the left side of the sign, take 8 paces to the left. Now look up the hill, passed the palo verde tree to find a 4 armed saguaro, You will probably only see 3 of hte arms since the 4this is on the backside. Go to the saguaro. 8 paces southwest from the saguaro you will find a mesquite tree with a large grey rock. The box is hidden in a large crack of the rock. It is covered with other smaller, but similarly colored rocks.

The Might Oak hex is for Stregnth, Health & Long Life which shares the positive mental thoughts that Canyon Ranch does.
This is one of the Pennsylvania Dutch hex signs that the peasant farmers from the Rhine region of Germany brought to southeastern Pennsylvania. Like other immigrants, they brought their old world languages, dress, traditions and art to their new home. Mystical bird and floral designed graced their birth and marriage certificates, family bibles, quilts, and some furniture. The "fancy" farmers also decorated their large German style bank barns with colorful geometics patterns. This custom persists today and we are now spreading through Tucson.

As usual - take the safety precautions and use a stick as you poke around the rock so that those sneaky snakes and scorpions don't ruin your day.
