Start your journey at the Rocky Ridge County Park. Maps are available at the park or you can get one here. http://ycwebserver.york-county.org/Parks.
Take Rt. 30 East or West to the Mt. Zion Road (Rt. 24) Exit and head North for about 1 mile. Turn right on to Deininger Road and continue straight thru the park to the last parking lot. Park near the power lines to be closer to the trail.

Your adventure begins by walking under the power lines and heading to the arch that says “Sue’s Trail”, this is Trail #1. WOW! Did you hear those power lines hissing and crackling? Travel on the path until you see a bench on the left. This is also the intersection of Trail #1 & Trail #8. Continue straight thru on Trail #1.

Just prior to reaching the intersection where Trail #2 crosses over Trail #1, look left and you will see Trail #9. Take this trail.

As you start heading down hill the trail makes a slight turn to the right. You will soon see two green #9 trail markers ahead. The first one is on the right and the second one is on the left.

Halfway between the markers, stop and turn left. You should see an old uprooted tree with several pieces of sawed off timbers lying with it. “WHAT A FLAKE” is hiding behind this tree, near the root end, covered with sticks and stones. A large tree stands behind the uprooted tree and there is a wild Rhododendron growing from the hiding place of “WHAT A FLAKE”.
