This box was supposed to be part of another project but when I went to pull it today, I felt the spot deserved a box so have left it there. Easy, less than half an hour, good for kids, dogs, gerbils...whatever.
Main reservoir on Route 4 (Farmington Ave.) Park in the new lot and follow a paved path for the red loop. When you hit the main road go right and pass the old parking lot on the left.
Continue on this road passing a bridge on the left and then a sculptured rock bench also on the left. After this keep you eyes open for a black birch (I HOPE it’s a black birch) leaning towards the road. Look in the roots and try not to be seen (like that’s gonna happen :-)
Just in front of the leaning tree is an oval brownstone (roadside) and a downed tree laying perpendicular to it along the left side.
