Status of Microbox: Alive and well at 3/23/2009
The "Pleasant Hill Winery" microbox is located at this winery, just on the west side of Brenham. The winery has improved since of first visit in 2003, both in the wine and the grounds. The tasting room is fun, and the wine is okay. Only open for tasting on Sat and Sun.
Directions:
From Brenham and Hwy 290, go south on Hwy 36. Soon, turn right on Salem road and follow signs for 2 miles to winery on the left.
To the microbox:
From the parking area, walk to the wooden deck in the grass area (away from tasting room deck), and to the far side. Standing in front of stairs, you should be looking at the tasting room straight ahead (2 sets of stairs, so make sure you are at the back one). Microbox is at base of right side stair post, under the board that holds up the stair boards.
