~There is a haunting and sad story that I came across one day while looking for something completely different. It has to do with a small Indian girl and a soldier. The story stayed with me and I decided that this poor little girl deserved some visitors to her grave.

I placed this box with respect to her and hope all that go and find it will show the same respect.

You will need to do some research to find out where the grave is. It really isn't very hard. I have come across two different spellings of her name-Maud & Maude.

Her stone has been broken in quite a few pieces over the years, but is still mostly together.

Look to the opposite side of the trail from where you found her grave and see a stone wall. Go to the backside and there you will find the box in her honor under a few rocks with a white quartz rock being on top. The white symbolizes the purity of a child. Please be sure to place this rock back on top when you are done.
