Difficulty: Easy
Distance to Microbox: 100 yards
Status of Microbox: Alive, but wet on 3/23/2009
The "Colony Cellars Winery" microbox is located in the countryside outside of Waller. This family run winery has a nice tasting room, ponds, Christmas tree farm, picnic area. The tasting is free, and the people are very nice!
Directions:
From Hwy 290, go left on Why 359. At Monaville (Yellow Blinking light) turn left on Richard Frey Road and go to winery on the right (after some bends in the road).
To the Microbox:
Go in and taste. After your done, go out back and walk around the big pond to the gazzebo looking building (bird cage). Go to the back side and locate the iron gate. Walk around the bamboo to the back side of this gate (you should now be looking through the gate at the bird cage. Go to right side of iron structure, where bamboo fence meets it. Microbox is hanging on the bamboo fence about 5 feet up, behind the growing bamboo.
