The last surviving signer of the Declaration of Independence was Charles Carroll. He was also the only Roman Catholic signer. A fictionalized version of him was featured in the movie National Treasure. Kentucky named both a city and a county for him. A tribute to him has been placed nearby.
Find GBSP and locate the conference center. Beyond it is more parking lot. At the end of this, enter the trail, and go R on the Fossil trail. Cross a gully and the trail quickly crosses a 2nd gully. You will come to a sign indicating the Woodland trail. Turn right and begin counting your steps. At 60 you see the remains of a stump to your left. Here is where our tribute to Charles Carroll resides.
As always, retrieve stealthily, step away to stamp in, and rehide in the intended place with care so the box is not visible.
