From Austin, take Hwy 71 East to Bastrop, then a left onto Hwy 95 and a quick right onto Hwy 21 East. Go approximately two miles and turn left onto South Shore Road (CR 352). Continue on South Shore Road for a few miles and the entrance will be on your right. Stop at the entrance station to pay the fee ($3/adult) and get a map.
Find the Fisherman's Trail near cabin #44. Follow this trail to the first intersection and turn LEFT.
The path comes to a clearing with power lines. Continue on the path to the other side of the clearing and keep following the path into the woods.
At the next intersection, turn LEFT.
Follow the path to the next intersection and turn RIGHT.
At the next "Y" in the path, keep LEFT, taking about 10 steps. To your right, laying on the ground, is a "Y" shaped branch. The box is nestled in the "Y".
Please recover well.
