This is our first letterbox. It is located in the San Diego Country Estates, Ramona. Take San Vicente Rd. to the Estates. Turn Left at the signal onto Gun Stage Rd. Turn Right onto Watt Rd. Turn Left onto Swartz Canyon Rd. Look for the second trail marker on the left (West) side of the street. It’s about a ½ mile down Swartz Canyon Rd. The trail markers are white metal poles with a shape of a horse head on top. Next to the entrance of the trail is an electrical box “CIR 975”. The narrow trail runs between two houses. Walk to the end of the fence. Then walk about 40 paces straight ahead (due West). You will see a cluster of 4 trees with white bark. The box is buried under the split base of the third tree from the left. The tree with the broken trunk. It is a short walk from the main road. It would be difficult for strollers due the amount of dried leaves on the trail. Please replace the box as you found it, recovering with leaves. You will need an ink pad. Take the regular precautions. Be mindful of snakes as there is tall grass in the area.
Have Fun!!!
