ROOSEVELT PARK

Location: Roosevelt Park
Nearest Town: Roosevelt, WA
County: Klickitat
Placed: 5/10/3
Placed By: Fudrick
Clues: Trivial
Trek: Easy, level walk

Roosevelt Park is a nice park on Lake Roosevelt, behind a dam on the Columbia River. A bit out of the way, a great spot to stretch your legs and walk your dog..

To The Trailhead: Head for Beautiful Roosevelt, Washington! Across the Mighty Columbia from Arlington, Oregon. On Highway 14, XXX miles East of ??? and XXX miles West of ???, a stretch of road with no services, so be prepared.
On the western outskits of Roosevelt, turn toward the Columbia on Roosevelt Ferry Road, at the signs directing you to Roosevelt Park. Head to the end where the boat launch is. Turn around, go past the Roosevelt Treaty Fishing Access Site, because it is fenced in. Turn in to the parking lot at Roosevelt Park, and park.

Sorry about the unknowns, will update when I find my Washington State Highway map :-( But it should be easily findable.

CLUES:
Head off to the flagpole. Marvel at the Erattic. Enjoy the handywork of Dick, Bud, Fred, and Gary. .Head upriver to try the swing. Onward past the windproof picnic table. When you run out of cut grass, you will find a number of ten foot poles you can use to not touch anything. Heading back, let's be safe. You can never tell when a dam will burst, so take the updland route back. On your right you will not a stairway to heaven. At least it goes upward.the kiosk, where you will learn nothing about this fine park. Go thru the gate onto the trail. You will come to what looks like the old parking lot, before the new one was built. Continue on the road round the corner. You will see a locked gate, but you are not stuck yet. You will be able to pick the lock with the Fishhook you will hoefully find between the large rocks behind the gatepost.
