Ever since I learned of Letterboxing, I've wanted to plant a stamp in Norma Jeans honor. This is part of the Illinois Road Trip series that will take you to fun and quirky sites around the state of Illinois. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Ilroadtrip/
It was a summers day in 1972, and the small town of Oquawka, IL had been enjoying the small circus that had traveled to town. A Storm blew east across the Mississippi and a bolt of lightening struck the star attraction a Pachyderm named Norma Jean.
Norma Jean fell dead that day to all the horror of the town and the circus, that closed down within a year. Norma Jean was buried on spot and a 12 foot tall monument now stands on the spot of her final resting place.

First, find the spot of Norma Jeans grave . . . remember that an Elephant needs lots of water to drink (before they are killed by lightening that is). No, not from the Mississippi. Ah, this square is perfect two sources with plenty of water -- though I don't think chlorinated water would be healthy . . . at least there is plenty of fresh water available here as well.
Once at the grave you need to count ALL the red colored stones within . . . remember to look at the back as well.
