GO FETCH! HITCHHIKER HOSTEL
The Go Fetch!HHH has been placed for easy access off I-10 in Northwest Tucson. There are bathrooms & water fountains. In 2008, the beagle won the AKC National Dog Championship. This stamp was made in honor of this beloved breed. I am not much of an artist. If you think the stamp looks more like a cat, just use your imagination.
RULES:
The Go Fetch! logbook and stamp ALWAYS remain at this location. There should be at least 1 HH at all times in the box. Record your finds at www.letterboxing.org or Atlas Quest. Thanks for dropping by!
TO THE BOX:
From I-10, take Ina Road east. Turn north (LEFT) on Mona Lisa. (Mona Lisa is at the stoplight AFTER Shannon Road/ Ina intersection.) Go .5 mile and turn LEFT into the Northwest YMCA Park. Walk north on the sidewalk toward the off-leash dog park until you reach a yellow warning sign. (Take this seriously! Make sure you use a stick and not your hand when you reach for the box.) Across from the warning sign is a doggie bag dispenser. Turn LEFT and walk toward the YMCA. Not too far down the trail, you will pass a palo verde tree that has a "petrified bee hive" on its trunk. Walk about 40-50 MORE paces. There will be a palo verde tree close to the trail on your right. Look behind the tree and you will find the box next to a trianglular leaf bur-sage. You can bring the box to the dog park - there are picnic tables. PLEASE DO NOT STAMP AT THE SITE. Thank you for visiting. Other close boxes to visit: Ironwood, Larry Lizard Loves to Read.
