Route 6 Northbound Truro- Take Pamet Roads-Truro Center exit. After about 100 feet, turn left on North Pamet Road. Go 1.5 miles; then turn right into a driveway. This driveway is just past a roadside parking area and just before a youth hostel. Now turn immediately right into a small parking area. The trailhead is opposite the parking lot across the street. You will see a small sign with a hiker saying Bearberry Hill. Follow the trail up the hill. Take a right at the sign and follow the signs to the overlooks. There are two one on the right overlooking the ocean (very beautiful) and one alittle further on overlooking the bog. At each overlook there is a platform , count the boards at both overlooks, you will need this later. Return to the main trail, the scenery is very pretty. Travel through the tunnel of oaks, enter into the pine forest at the top of a slight rise you will come to a T intersection, take a left. Keep following the trail. Eventually you will come to another intersection. To the right you will see some dunes you can go over the dunes to view the ocean, if you like. To find the letterbox you need to follow the trail sign for the Bog House, it goes to the left.Stay on the path over a hill , down a slight hill, following a winding path down a hill until you come to a set of stairs. This is where you need the number of boards from the overlook. Take the total number and divide by 10. Walk down that number of stairs and do an about face. Walk 20 steps due north ( Hint:you will end up going back up the stairs). There will be a large pine tree in front of you, directly under the lower branches on the south side of the tree you will find your prize. Please rehide carefully. To return to your car you may follow the path to the Bog House (very interesting part of historical comerce on the cape) and out to North Pamet Road, take a left and walk about 1/2 mile to your car. Or you may return the way you came.
