The LBJ State Park and Historic Site is located between Fredericksburg and Johnson city on Highway 290.

Enter the park and check in with the Visitor's Center. After paying the fee, go behind the visitor's center to the home exhibit that has a breezeway. The trail starts here.

Take the trail past the amphitheater on your right and make your way to the TX Wildlife Exhibit. Continue on the Nature Trail as it winds around and past the Wildlife Exhibit.

You will soon come to a bridge on your right and a sign for white-tail derr on your left. Continue straight down the path towards the Pedernales River.

When you get to a set of stairs, stop and turn around. Go 5 steps and look left. About 6 steps off the trail is a tree leaning away from you and it has a large branch lying next to it. The box is here.

As always, take care to re-hide well.
