The "AC/DC" letterbox is dedicated to the band by this names, and is located in the historic Montgomery New Cemetery in Montgomery, Texas. This Austrailian band gained fame in their home country, and soon burst into the world scene. Unfortunately with the release of their popular album "Highway to Hell", their lead singer Bon Scott died, which could have been the end for this band just when their popularity in the USA was growing. They found a new singer (Brian Johnson), and the Young brothers produced their blockbuster album, "Back in Black", a tribute to Bon, and one the best selling albums of all times. They are still rocking, and Angus is still bobbing!
Directions:
From I-45, Go west on Hwy 105 to Montgomery. When you cross Hwy 149, look to the left after a few blocks for the post office. Turn left on the next street, and drive past the police station. Pull in the middle driveway of the cemetery, and go until you reach the headstone on the right for "Womack". Stop and get out. (PS - you will pass the "Willie B. Gay" headstone on the way).
To the Letterbox:
From the "Womack" grave, go across the road and past the cedar tree. Pass the "Parent" tombstone, and soon you will reach the multi-trunk tree. The box is in the base, covered with sticks. Please add more and cover well when you get done.
