FIRST FINDER PRIZE from the Pacific NW is still available as of April 5, 2008.

This stamp means a lot to me, because my son and this city share the same name!

I chose to plant this box in Lakeshore Park. The main part of the park is pretty busy, so I elected to drive around to the pavillion end of Conway Street. You can either walk to the pavillion from the main part of the park, or drive around like I did.

Once you find the parking lot at the end of Conway, determine the NW corner of that same parking lot. Looking due west, you'll see a big, 'lumpy' tree. I was tempted to hide the box in or at the base of this tree, but it's far too appealing. So I walked up the hill past the tree, still heading due west. After 30 steps I came to a large-ish bent over tree with two large vines climbing up it. Those vines might be poison ivy, so that's no good. Keep going up the hill, still west, for 20 more steps. To your left you'll see what looks like a small headstone near a large tree with a fat vine climbing it. Go to the west side of this tree, Carpet Capital is at the base.
