Sterling City has been called the "Windmill City" because at one time, the number of windmills standing in the city boundaries was near 150. The number of windmills has diminished within the city, but can still be seen throughout the range land and still serve as a valuable aide for ranchers of Sterling County. This microbox is dedicated to those windmills and can be found at a picnic area on the edge of the city.

Directions:
From Sterling City, go southeast on Hwy 87 to the edge of town to a picnic area on the right. Pull in and park by any table.

Clues:
Walk to the stone monument with a donation plaque in the center grass median. With your back to the monument, face Hwy 87 and walk north for 25 steps, crossing the exit road to another grass area. Turn left and walk 13 steps to a large tree with a hollow place about 5 feet high. The camo microbox is within covered by bark. Please re-cover well and be discreet. The box is an old pill container, so you must push down and turn the cap to open it.
