The World Championship Barbecue Goat Cook-Off is the longest running goat cook-off in Texas and is held every Labor Day Weekend at Richards Park in Brady, TX. It began in 1973 as a fundraiser for the Jaycees and is appropriate since McCulloch county ranks among the top 20 counties in the nation for the number of goats raised. If you can't come to the cook-off, then come for this box dedicated to it. Also, I highly recommend a nearby restaurant in town called Hard 8 BBQ. They offer all kinds of BBQ meat, including goat on Fri-Sun, and free beer!

Directions:
For the microbox at Richards Park, take Hwy 87 west toward San Angelo from the downtown courthouse for about .6 miles, turn left on Memory Lane and follow it to Richards Park. You should have a low, stone wall on your right as you drive in. Continue to follow it as it curves right by bearing right on a gravel road for a few yards to a dead end and park. For Hard 8 BBQ, take Hwy 87 south from the courthouse for 1.4 miles and it will be on the right.

Clues:
Find the opening in the wall near you and walk up to the field on the other side. Turn left (north) and walk 45 steps along the wall to a large, multi-trunk tree. The camo microbox is in the lowest crotch under a rock and leaves. Please re-cover well and be discreet.
