This box made its debut at the Dog Days at Double Lake Event on March 29, but now has been moved (permanently, we hope) to its intended location near the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, TX.

To find Lady Bird's Wildflower, make your way to the LBWC in Austin: go south on Loop 1 (Mopac) south of Slaughter Street to La Crosse and follow the signs to the Wildflower Center. You'll pass the parking lot for the Velo Bike trail just before the entrance to the LBWC parking lot, and the street ends in a cul de sac just beyond the LBWC parking lot exit. To find the box, park at the end of this cul de sac near the iron gate with the No Trespassing sign (and don't even think about trespassing!). Note the 3 large boulders to the left of the gate, then a medium boulder partially obscured by a cedar branch at ground level. If you sit on this boulder and contemplate the beauty of wildflowers for a couple of minutes, you might then be inspired to reach down behind this boulder and discover the box carefully hidden under several smaller rocks. Please be careful in finding and replacing this box to avoid detection, as this is a very busy place especially in the late afternoons and weekends when bikers are accessing the nearby trail.
OR: You will probably want to visit the LBWC for a couple of hours anyway, so pay your fee and park in the lot - as near the exit as possible, and then just walk out and over to the box location. In either case, please try to avoid allowing this box to be discovered! Exercise stealth in finding, stamping, and replacing the box, and enjoy the wildflowers!
As always, reseal all bags and the box and recover well. Please replace the rocks on the box. Please contact me regarding the status of this box.
Thanks,
Viewfinder
