UPDATE 7/23/2021
THIS LETTERBOX WAS WATER DAMAGED AND THEN THE STAMP WENT MISSING.THANK YOU TO WHOMEVER PLACED A NEW LOGBOOK IN APRIL 2021. WE HAVE RECREATED THE STAMP AND IS NOW PLACED AGAIN. THANK YOU FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL NOTES THAT HAVE BEEN LEFT OVER THE YEARS. WE HOPE MORE WILL ENJOY THIS!

Some clues may be difficult to find if there is lots of snow on the ground. This includes a walk through the cemetery. Estimated time approx 15 min. Don't forget to bring your own ink pad.

1) Enter the Bountiful Cemetery using the North entrance.

2) Continue west past the maintenance building.

3) You will find a children’s section of the cemetery on
your right. Take a moment to notice the many children and babies who rest here.

4) Turn south and find the slightly raised book-shaped stone between Oak and Pine Rd. You will find “little Merlin’s grave”.

5) Turn due West and go 8 steps to find the “baby Carrs”. Count the number of baby Carrs and count that number into the alphabet (example: 1 = A, 2 = B etc). Go the direction indicated by that letter.

6) Heading that direction note the many children who have died. You will cross some roads and shortly after you cross one road you will find the gravestone for a child named Child.

7) Take the last digit of the year he died and count that many letters into his middle name and go that direction.

8) Take a stroll down that road pausing to remember the Hogan children as you pass them on your left.

9) Continue on the same road to find the grave stone for Elizabeth, Eliza, William, Sarah and Alvin on your right.

10) Continue on same road, you will come again to grass. Continue forward across the grass to find Jennifer Gene Ward who lived 18 years.

11) Continue walking in the same direction until you find a large stone rock with the name TERRY. Take a moment to remember Michael Beasley Terry and David Beasley Terry.

12) Go to the south edge of the Terry marker and go the direction of the most common letter in these two children’s names.

13) Walk approximately 48 steps. Don’t go over the “Wall”, go around the “Wall”. You should then reach Our Angel who died January 4, 1998.

14) You will find the letterbox hidden in the flower cup (be sure to twist to open).

15) While you are logging be sure to turn around to face South and take a moment to notice Angel’s cousin Krystle.

We believe Families are Forever and are grateful that the many children who died too soon will some day be reunited with their families.
