This is the first of seven Letterboxes in the Narnia Series. Each titled to the corresponding book. They were my favorite as a child. Encourage READING!!

Difficulty: Hard
Length: 5-6 miles one way
You'll need: $1.00, WATER, HAT, compass, mosquito spray.

If you live in FL or visit a lot, you can get a State Parks Annual Pass for $40 per year. Go to: floridastateparks.org/annualpass/default.htm to order or for more info.

Alas... My original The Lion, Witch, and The Wardrobe letterbox which resided in two other states and was 4 years old has been the victim of a controlled burn here in FL. The stamp is not that much of a loss considering it was my 2nd ever carve, but I will be sorrowful for the lost logbook....

Directions:
Seminole State Park
Heading West from Sanford; cross the Wekiva River and look for the Big Brown Sign. It is actually the 2nd sign you will see. The first is just a trail head. Dollar donation is required on good faith. Pets on a leash please. 1 pace=2 steps.

This hike is approx. 5-6 miles one way, and is not for the faint of heart. It took me 3 hours there & back at a consistent pace. Once in while stopping to enjoy the butterflies!

Clues:
Follow the orange blazes to Blackwater Creek. You could take another path (BOOORING!), but why? Are we not out to see nature and have a good hike?

Make sure you cross the bridge over Blackwater Creek. Cool! Now go back to the South end and face the bridge. Follow the path down the embankment on the left BEFORE the yellow marker farthest from the creek. Stop. Grab a stick. Tap the ground as you proceed to scare away any snakes that may be hiding under the forest floor.

Take a straight shot at 290 degrees. When you see the creek again (approx. 6 paces from the edge) look in a 200 degree direction. At the edge of this little oasis, there is a Palm tree by itself with a skinny Cypress in front of it. (The Cypress is between you and the palm.) The box is about 6 foot high on the Palm's back side. Please secure it FIRMLY when replacing. This area gets flooded time to time, so please prevent this box from falling.
