The Birthday Cake Box is located in Pole Green Park, off Pole Green Road in Mechanicsville, VA. From I295, take the Pole Green exit. Proceed several miles to the entrance to Pole Green Park. Pole Green Elementary School is also on the same road. Turn left into the park/school. Turn right into the parking lot in front of the Pole Green Recreation Center. Walk around behind the building to the picnic table. Standing at the picnic table, facing the woods, turn to your right at a 45 degree angle and walk into the woods 16 paces. (one pace equals about 24 inches) Look for several fallen trees and broken up logs. At the base of a tree is a fallen log about 3 feet long. Pick it up and look into the hollowed out part of the log. The Birthday Cake Box was placed under that log.
