Location: Paint Creek State Park, Ross County, Ohio.
Driving directions: US-50 (West of Bainbridge or east of Hillsboro) to Rapid Forge Road. 2 miles on Rapid Forge Rd. to park entrance. From the entrance, go .3 mile to the parking area for the Little Pond Trail.
CLUES: Enter the Little Pond Trail near the shelterhouse. When the trail forks,go to the left, past a small wooden bench.Proceed to a wooden A-frame bridge. Cross the bridge. When you exit the bridge, you will go up a small slope. At the top of the slope you will see a metal trash can. Turn left at the trash can and go 6 paces. Stop. Just off the trail to your left (East) is a large boulder.The Purple Peeper is nestled in a hollow formed by this and two other boulders.
