HUNTING:
Hemlock Hills and Pine Mountain Open Spaces are closed to the public for firearms hunting from Nov 19 through Dec 23, 2008, except during the Thanksgiving weekend. The town will probably hold such a hunting season again in 2009.
Bow hunting is permitted in adjoining Bennett’s Pond State Park from Sept 15, 2008, through Jan 31, 2009. During this time the park is not closed to the public, but hikers are advised to wear bright colors.
From the chimney ruins on Pine Mountain, go 120 degrees to the base of the large ledge. Lodged in a triangular cave between two low rocks.
