Make your way to Copp Park on route 184 in Groton. This is near the intersection with Gungywamp Road. Park, make use of the facilities if need be, and begin your journey on yellow.

Follow the wide path and soon you will be at Central Bark.
Keep going with the chain link fence on your right. You will soon spot a tree on your left with a yellow arrow on it. Follow the arrow.
Continue on this path, ignoring all side trails until you come to a "T" intersection. There is actually a foundation right in front of you.

I believe that every letterboxer should have a personal Guru and I’m eternally grateful that I have found one of the best. I have found My Guru to be an important part of my letterboxing experience. Please be kind and rehide the box well out of sight. This is a popular spot to while away a pleasant afternoon.

Go right on the social path going around a blow down, at the Y go left and then stay straight (avoiding all side trails) until you come to an “almost” T with a foundation hole in front of you. Go right through a field of scraggly trees, stay straight, go into woods and then back into an open area. After reaching more “woods” go left on the blue trail at a three way intersection. Head uphill through mountain laurel, pass an inverted Y, come to an island of laurel and the trail levels out through more laurel. Stay on blue until you reach an intersection with an island of three trees

(The following paragraph was sent to me from a recent finder hoping to make it a bit easier to find)

(The trail is now marked so that after the island of laurel the blue trail splits(going straight. And blue/ yellow turns right through a laurel tunnel leading to the 3 trees. Due to all the tree growth you can't really tell that the res. is on the left and the slickrock no longer has a nice view. The slickrock does have a 3 way yellow blaze on it where you head right. then go right on yellow). Walk with the reservoir on your left until you come to a large slickrock in front of you. From here the view is great....stop, snack, drink and be merry, then go right-continuing on the trail, downhill a bit and up to a couple of blazed boulders. Stop at the second boulder blaze and site 235 degrees to a four sister tree with a round boulder in back of it. Look under overhang, nudging gently with a stick before retrieving the box. Remember My Guru is watching you.

If you continue forward on yellow, there are nice trails ahead of you. Stay on yellow and if you have to make a decision, go right (yellow sometimes goes both ways). You will end up back at the original intersection where you first picked up the blue trail.
