Basically a drive-by.
In the northwest part of Tucson.
Exit I-10 at Ina.
W on Ina to Wade, L on Wade.
Wade makes a sharp curve to the right and becomes Picture Rocks Rd. Continue on Picture Rocks Rd. - past a place to renew your spirits - and then look for mailbox 7350 on L.
Park in pullout on L just past mailbox.
Walk a minute or two down the trail from the parking area - until you are flanked on either side of the trail by a couple of stately saguaros. From the saguaro on the R- find a prickly pear at 230 degrees, about 10 paces from the trail. Look under pile of stones just before you get to the prickly pear. As always, be careful and watch out for desert critters.
BYOI: You'lll want to bring yellow, orange, and black ink or markers for this one.
If you continue down Picture Rocks Rd., you will enter Saguaro National Park in less than a mile - enjoy!
PLEASE NOTE when logging your find on LBNA that there is another box listed in the Tucson area named Saguaro Sunset by funhog. My box is named Saguaro Sunsets! Sorry for any confusion this may cause. Saguaro Sunset has actually been retired and is not available.
