There are a number of letterboxes in the same area as this one. I’ve borrowed some of the directions for those who have planted before me. My thanks.

From Route 4, Turn onto Locust Road. Pass the Fairgrounds, take third right onto Laurel Road. Go all the way to the end. (When you pass by the turn to Reservoir Road there will be a sign saying "no outlet," but keep going straight. You will see a sign for the Litchfield Hills Audubon Society's Kalmia (12 acres dedicated to hiking and environmental training). Across from a white house, there is a small parking area. There’s a second parking area a bit farther up and closer to where you’re going.

Go to the eastern end of this parking lot. It was a gravel section when we were there. Look for the big perforated boulder at about 75◦. Go there. From the boulder, walk on a line at 240◦. A tree will be in your way so go behind it and stay on 240◦ until you get to the rocks. There you will find Rudolph’s Summer Home. Enjoy.
