From Country Club Road in Middletown, take Atkins Street. Just after you pass Old Farms West, look to your left for the blue blazed trail. It would probably be best to turn around and jump the curb to park.
This box is for my friend Pat and her wild little paint horse Jasper. Jasper has since passed on, but for years he and Pat spent many hours in these woods. I know she misses those times a great deal.
If you listen carefully maybe you can hear him coming down the trail.
To find Jasper follow the blue partway through the second pine forest. Look right at the double blazed tree that wants you to take a left. At that tree, look to the right for what appears to be an old foundation. Go to the northern corner.
If you continue on you just might find some pink shine if you're lucky.
