Go to a place in Avalon that has the same name as the title of one of Stephen King's novels. If you found it, you can skip the next paragraph. If you need more clues, read on.
Start your trek at the foot of the Green Pleasure Pier. Travel up Catalina Avenue to Beacon Street, go left. Make a right at Clemente Avenue and a left on Wrigley Terrace Road. Go up the hill until it turns to the left. Beyond the stone wall ahead of you lies the Pet Cemetery.
Go through the black gate between the stone pillars. Follow the trail until you see Duke’s headstone on the left. Make a right at Duke’s headstone. Follow the trail until you hit Bonnie’s grave marker against the hill. Follow the trail down towards the entrance. Stop at Hanibal Deacon’s headstone. Then walk straight for 12 paces. You should be at the first tree stump on the left. Uncover the bark on the top to find our letterbox. Please be sure to replace the bark to hide the box. If the bark is broken and doesn’t hide it well, please find more bark or a rock to keep the box hidden.
*notice: The box was missing on July 4, 2008. The area had been cleared of brush and trees had been cut down. We are hoping to replace it August 1,2008 if work appears to be completed.
Box was replaced in August 2008.
